Launch of Foundation

The RP Baffour Foundation was launched in November 2020 in memory of the late Dr. Robert Patrick Baffour an educationist, the first Ghanaian mechanical engineer, a playwright, historian and a sportsman. He was the first Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, first African to chair the International Atomic Energy Agency and the lead in establishing the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission.

The Robert Patrick Baffour Foundation aims to become Africa’s leading organization utilizing interventions in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and research including creative arts leading to sustainable economic and community development. The Foundation welcomes partnerships and support from other organizations and individuals promoting STEM education for the general well- being and the socio-economic development of Ghana.
